MACHARIAN CRUSADE: GAME 1
Tomorrow is the first game of our 8-week journey through the rich and colorful history of the Warhammer 40,000 universe. Although normally I’d be commanding the Cadian Armored Corps in Sejanus’ Second Army Group (from the cupola of a mighty armored beast), in tomorrow’s game I’m playing the defending home guard of the Kallastin Stratocracy.
The misguided and overzealous “Lord Solar” has decided to invade our peaceful and prosperous planet, claiming that we have gone rengerade (or something along those lines; his spelling is atrocious). I’m taking command of Lord Defender Aramal Acamas (aldo leading the army from the cupola of a mighty armored beast) and I plan to repel the Lord Solar from our peaceful, but heavily armed city.
I thought it might be fun for you to take a look at the 6,000 point Kallastin Stratocracy army that I’ll be commanding tomorrow.

I’ll have the Strategic Redeployment, Bunkers, and Supreme Headquarters (my defenders withing 12” also gain the Feel No Pain rule) strategic assets. My opponents (that should include the annoying Lord Solar) will have Careful Planning, Flank March, Blind Barrage, and Scheduled Bombardment.
There are only two objectives: my Supreme Headquarters and Lord Solar’s stinking corpse. If I can manage to kill him by turn 4 (without losing my Headquarters), I win the game.
The Kallastan Weather Survey is predicting fine weather and a quick victory for the Kallastan Home Guard!
NOTE: I’m over by a couple of hundred points (having to put Forgecrafted on ALL of my tanks pushed the points up a bit higher than I expected), so I’ll end up shaving a few things off. I’ll probably drop the Medusa Siege Gun and maybe the Techpriest (both seem a little tough for a campaign); although dropping the next to useless Malcador would be better (I just really want to use it in a game).
