‘Ard Boys Army List: Imperial Guard + Allies

Here’s an Imperial Guard (+Allies) army that I’m considering. There are definitely some things I could do to tune it up, but I’m working with the models I have here.

NOTES:
1. Command Platoon:
This best consists of the command squad, a chimera, 2 anti-tank squads and 3 sentinels. I’ll setup the anti-tank squads on opposite board sides, park the command squad in the midldle (near the chimera for a quick get-away), and drop the sentinels. That’s going to be 3 very hard kill points to win.

2. Canoness: She’s there to give coverage to as much of the infantry as possible. I may put her in the command squad so I can move here where I need her most. With an unmodifiable LD10, I don’t have to worry about losing squads to losing close combats.

3. DH Inquisitor: He helps me with deep strikers (if I face Terminators, this squad will be with the Demolisher; if I face Monoliths, then they will be with an anti-tank squad; etc.). I also get an Emperor’s Tarot so I have a better than even chance to go first.

4. Infantry Platoons: Set up around my deploment zone, you are going to have to wipe out 4 units to get a single point. I’ll deep strike one of the units to grab objectives and frustrate my opponent’s attempt to get KP.

5. Sisters of Battle: These squads give Book coverage to my infantry platoons and they intercept units that want to assault them — and bog them down in the Sisters Tar Pit(tm).

6. Tanks: Three decent tanks fill out the list and give me some teeth.

I expect to lose 6 KP in the average game (and 8KP in a bloody one).
