NOTES
1. Skarbrand: He gives all models (friend or foe) within 24” the ability to re-roll misses in close combat. Combined with the poisonous Plaguebearers, that gives me units that re-roll misses and wounds against T4 opponents! Nasty!
2. Fateweaver: She’s a fantastic addition to the army that most people discount (due to her Oracle of Eternity restriction). But giving every unit with a model within 6” the ability to re-roll failed saves is amazing for a Chaos Deamon player. With predominantly 5+ (and 4+) saves, that means that my army is going to save 56% (or 75%) of the time. Not too shabby!
3. 32 Plaguebearers: These guys aren’t going to give up any objectives and with Fateweaver and Skarbrand nearby, they are very impressive models. Re-roll misses and failed wounds in close combat and T5, re-roll failed saves and feel no pain! Wow!
MISSION NOTES
1. Annihilation: 12 kill points in a 2500 point army is pretty amazing! Annihilation also allows me to focus my army at a narrow point (meaning I get more value out of Fateweaver and Skarbrand). Overall, I think will be a pretty nice mission for the army.
2. Seize Ground: This one’s not so bad either. I’ll have to put a unit of Plaguebearers on my own objective (good luck getting them off!) and then focus the rest of my army on making my opponent miserable. Late deployment is handy in this mission.
3. Capture and Control: This one forces me to spread out and makes Fateweaver and Skarbrand less useful, but having 6 scoring units that Deep Strike is a nice advantage. This mission will probably be the toughest against a large army like Orks (since I just won’t have enough turns to eliminate them).
Anyways, let me know what you think! And I’d love to see your Chaos Daemon army lists too!
